Josh Frydenberg joins Goldman Sachs as Senior Regional Adviser
Former treasurer and deputy Liberal leader Josh Frydenberg has found his next job after losing his seat at the 2022 federal election.
Goldman Sachs today announced the appointment of Frydenberg as Senior Regional Adviser.
In a statement, Goldman Sachs said Frydenberg had had a distinguished political career and mentioned his "extensive experience in government, finance, and economics."
Frydenberg said he was "excited to join Goldman Sachs and contribute to the firm's continued success." He said he looked forward to "working with the team to provide our clients with the best possible advice and solutions."
Frydenberg's appointment comes as Goldman Sachs faces increasing competition from other investment banks. The firm has been investing heavily in its advisory business in recent years, and Frydenberg's appointment is seen as a sign of its commitment to this area.
